SoWhatIf.com grew out of the frustration Phyllis Brasch Librach, an award-winning journalist, experienced shopping for her curvy teen-age daughter when she no longer fit junior clothing.

The mother and daughter learned firsthand the true challenge of finding
plus size clothing for teens in a world where thin is in.

Librach decided to make shopping easier for her daughter, Mickey, and the millions of fashion-starved plus size teens and young women struggling to find fashions that flattered their curvy figures and fit their trendy lifestyle.

So Librach traded deadlines for hemlines and created a fashion Web site where teen-age girls and young women could find cool plus size clothing clothes for work, school play and party collected in one place.

And she called it So What If

Right after So What If debuted, teens – and their Moms – started asking for
help finding fabulous plus size formal dresses to wear to Prom, Homecoming, Wedding, Bridesmaid, Military Balls and other special occasions. So Librach and her daughter Mickey opened Sydney’s Closet, a Web site featuring the largest online selection of plus size Prom dresses in Sizes 14 to 44.
